US President Donald Trump said he was opposed to quarantine in New York State, as well as in neighboring areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. According to the American leader, such tough measures are not necessary.

“On the recommendation of the White House’s anti-coronavirus team and after consulting with the governors of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, I asked the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to publish recommendations urging us to severely restrict movement,” Trump said on Twitter.

“There will be no need for quarantine,” the US president added.
